On March 3, 2005, the second day of the National Football League’s free agent signing period, the Dallas Cowboys signed a formidable trio of veterans: Cornerback Anthony Henry, former Jets Defensive Tackle Jason Ferguson and Pro Bowl Guard Marco Rivera, formerly of the Green Bay Packers.

From a disappointing start during the team’s first year as an NFL expansion team in 1960 in which the Cowboys failed to win a single game to nine consecutive trips to the playoffs beginning in 1965 and five Super Bowl victories, the team has risen to exceptional heights.
